Free Alzheimer's Workshops

Alzcare offers monthly caregiver workshops every month in New Braunfels, San Marcos and Seguin. Some examples of topics include:

· Communicating with your doctor

· What is Alzheimer’s and Dementia?

· How to communicate with someone with Alzheimer’s and/or Dementia

· Safety in the home

· Activity Focused Care

· Cost: FREE

Information and Referrals

As the disease progresses, we also help the family prepare for Long Term care placement. Counseling services are available for the family members and caregivers. Alzcare has developed strong partnerships with many other agencies, services and professionals who work with seniors. We have a listing of community resources.

Complimentary Assessments

When your loved one is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or Dementia, you may feel overwhelmed. In fact, research says 80% or more of caregivers will end up on anti-depressants. The first thing to do is get as much information as you can about the disease.
