Residents enjoy encouragement and friendship
through daily social and recreational
activities. These activities are planned and
supervised by our activity coordinator (our
AC does not supervise all activities). Each
activity is specially-designed to combine
socialization with therapeutic intervention.

ACTIVITIES
Special events, parties, outside
social, and leisure activities
are scheduled regularly. Our
daily routine of social and
leisure activities is designed
to respond to all of the
residents needs. We encourage
family and friends to join in
any of the activities and
events, especially holiday
parties. All of our residents
are invited and encouraged to
attend and participate in the
activities; however some
residents may choose to just
observe or decline to join in.
We honor the residents’ rights
to make choices and we will
offer alternative events and
activities as appropriate.

Mother loves to be with the
staff and
they are so good about letting
her
“help” in the kitchen.

PETS
We have two dogs (Amy and Tuesday) at our
New Braunfels location. These pets are given
free run of the back yard and inside the
house. The residents help with the daily
activities of playing, teaching, and taking
care of them. They are a great addition to
our home.
VISITING HOURS
We have no set visiting hours. Families are
welcome at any time of the day or night. All
we ask is that you consider the routine of
other residents who might go to sleep early.
We strongly encourage the families to be
involved in the resident’s life. It gives
the residents continuity.
Families are also welcome to have meals with
the residents, free of charge. We ask
however that you give us a few hours notice
so that our kitchen staff can make sure
there is enough for everyone.
The residents may leave with family any
time. We do not allow residents to leave
unaccompanied. We will not let a resident
leave with someone that we are unfamiliar
with unless we first obtain permission from
the responsible party.

wouldn’t encourage that!
Music Time
After lunch most residents wind down to
digest their food and listen to music or
